Data Structures :

In computer science, a data structure is a particular way of organizing data in a computer so that it can be used efficiently. Data Structures is about rendering data elements in terms of some relationship, for better organization and storage. It can implement one or more particular abstract data types(ADT), which are the means of specifying the contract of operations and their complexity. Data structures in C can be categorised into two

  1. Primitive Data structure : These are the data types provided by a programming language as basic building blocks. Primitive types are also known as built-in types or basic types.
    • Integer
    • Character
    • Floating point
    • Pointers
  2. Non-Primitive Data structure : The data structure derived from primary data types are known as non-Primitive data structure. These are used to store group of values.

Few, commonly used data structures in C are as follows :

Linked list

Queue

Stack

Trees
